This artwork was created because Titoes longed for the figure of Jesus Christ which was depicted in the baby held by the Virgin Mary. "From East to West" is a poetic composition of the terms Alpha and Omega, which are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. In the Christian faith, the Jesus Christ is the Word of God, so Alpha and Omega means He is the complete Word of God. Everything that God wants to say is in Him. Alpha and Omega also mean beginning and end. Everything God does begins with Jesus, and everything God does ends with Jesus. "From East to West" also means from sunrise to sunset, which rhymes with first and last, beginning and end, Alpha and Omega.
